Brushes, paint and paper! :)

With nothing much to do, I decided to paint a scenery. Honestly, I am horrible at painting. But, I think that this one turned out to be pretty good! I have clicked the pictures using a phone. So, they might not be very clear on the computer screen...

I wish...

My ninth standard finals got over on 14th february. This time, it was a different experience. Actually, both my 9th standard exams have been different from all others. I freaked out! Everyone asked me to calm down! Everyone!! But, that didn't really have an effect on me! I was freaking out a month before the exams and I wasn't my very best during the exams either.

The reason behind this change in me is unknown to me! I wish I knew...
We have our extra classes for tenth standard beginning from Monday itself! I never really liked session breaks and I always wanted school to open. But, this time I just feel sad to know that I'll have to go for extra classes to school while everyone else is enjoying their break!

There is no real holiday for us "tenthers". The school creates such a fuss about tenth standard! And honestly, I am not too happy about being a tenther! I had always wanted to come to tenth standard. But, now I wish that I am allowed to go back to 7th or 8th standard!

There is no excitement at all! And I am getting anxious about tenth and that is a very bad sign! It's hard to control! For the last one month or so I have been studying like a lunatic. And now, I am feeling guilty because I am not studying anything. But, I don't feel like studying either!

It's so difficult!! I seriously have no idea what on earth am I going to do in this coming year! Why on earth have I changed so much! Why do I have to be serious! I really wish that God brings me back to what I was just a year ago! :(

A quote :
Do your best
And leave the rest
It will all be alright
Someday or night.

This is a quote which I find very helpful for me at this stage. And I am sure that I am not the only one who needs such a quote which can inspire and motivate, a quote which will give confidence.
I have started succumbing to tension and worry and fear. And I hate this! Sometimes I think of just not caring but that's hard to do...
I cannot just not care about marks or about studies. But, I believe that I have to. One of my friends teaches me just this!
From now on, all I'll try to do is follow the quote, i.e, do my best without causing harm to my mind and body and I will leave the rest. I won't think of consequences or bad experiences. I won't think of what may happen. It something has to happen it will! If I don't come first, I won't! My family or my friends won't hate me! I won't hate myself either!
SO WHY WORRY?!!
Now I am carefree... I will just enjoy what I am doing without worrying about any thing!

Santa Claus is coming to town!

Did I just hear the bells ring?
Oh yes I did!
Its Christmas. I love this time of the year. And I have already mentioned the reasons for that in one of my earlier posts.

I sometimes wish that Santa Claus really exists. The idea of him flying across the sky sitting on his sleigh is magical and excites me all the time. The red coat and red trousers and of course the nine flying reindeer. Oh! It all seems to wonderfully magical!

While going through one one of the issues of Reader's Digest, I had come across Santa Claus's postal address. I had even written a letter to him. But, I didn't get it delivered.

Once, I had decided to keep my stockings under my pillow so that Santa could leave my gifts inside it. Next morning, I woke up and immediately checked under my pillow. I was disappointed because I didn't find any gifts inside the stocking.

But, when I went to the living area, I found wonderful gifts(too big to fit in the stocking) on the table! I was so delighted. :D
Whenever I recall my Christmases, I feel nostalgic and I wish that I am sent back to those days when Santa existed for me. :)

Failure stories

Just failed to achieve something? Did not get the thing that you used to always dream about?
For about two months, I was sad because of something that I couldn't achieve.

I had always wanted to dub in the school play. When I was in standard six(my first experience of annual function in this school), I was pretty new to plays and dubbing. But, in standard seven, I wanted to dub. I wasn't much into speaking in public and we didn't have auditions then. So, I ended up being in the choir.

We didn't have the annual function in standard eight. But, towards the end of standard eight, I began doing something new, i,e, participating in public speaking competitions. It was a great feeling. I really enjoy speaking and it gives me a lot of joy.

This time I really wanted to dub. It was my aim. I used to think about it day and night. We had auditions this year. Ma'am really liked the way I spoke. So did my friends and classmates. I thought I was in. Just when my bubble was getting formed, it burst.

I wasn't selected! Reason : I was in the choir and so selecting me would be like stepping on the toes of the choir co-ordinator. It was heart-breaking. And I am not exaggerating. I cried so many times. I used to sulk half the time!

After several days I came to know through one of the dubbers that ma'am had a misconception. She was thinking that I was chosen as the lead singer!!

But, before I had come to know about this misconception, something wonderful had happened to me! Another teacher approached me. She wanted me to become the emcee for one of the events. Back then, I was blind to the importance of becoming the emcee.

But, now that the annual function is just two days away, I have understood and realised that being the emcee is such a fun thing. It's a new experience for me. A wonderful one!

I failed for a reason. I didn't become a dubber for a reason. And today I realised that the reason was good! :)
