10 most wonderful moments...

Moments make up our life. Our everyday life is filled with moments which are very precious and which make us feel good.
Motivated by one of my favourite blog-turned-into-book (1000 awesome things), I have decided to write about 10 most wonderful moments. I am sure that you share simliar views!
(i) When your favourite song is played at a party

(ii) When you make a baby smile

(iii) When you guess something right

(iv) When the cool, light, breeze of spring wipes the hair off your face

(v) When you are able to draw a perfect circle without using the compass

(vi) When you find someone with the same name as you
(vii) When you find more number of emails than you had expected
(viii) When you bump into a childhood friend after many years (take my word, it did happen with me)

(ix) When you realise that you have grown an inch taller

(x) When you find that one sweet grape from a whole bunch of sour ones

Fearless..

Yesterday, was one heck of a day. I went with my mom to see her progress in driving. My mom had learnt driving few years back but she never had the confidence to drive on the roads. The situation is still the same. I had never sat on the back seat while my mum drove the car. This was my first time. And I swear to God, I felt so scared.
I too had tried my luck with a scooty. That experience was really bad as I had badly bruised myself. This was probably one of the reasons that I was so scared yesterday.
The area where my mum was driving was a beautiful campus, with Bouganvilla trees on either side of the road, the setting sun clearly visible from between the branches of the reddish brown trees. She drove for perhaps thirty minutes. And all through out I was scared. But, contrary to my fear, my mom drove with perfection.
I believe that we learn about life not by books but by our own experiences. Yesterday's drive taught me a thing. If something bad or sad happens to us, that does not mean that we should feel afraid of that thing. Set yourself free from all fears in your heart.
The road lies ahead you and you are the one driving your vehicle - Just Go!!
Be fearless guys!

I've written about so many things on my blog. But, I somehow missed out on something very important. I missed out on two people who make your life wonderful. They are actually the ones who gave you the life that you live today. I am talking about our parents.
They are our more than just our parents. They are our guides, our friends and our life...
They scold us when we are wrong and they make us laugh when we don't even want to smile. But, most importantly, they love us.
Today I would like to share a small paragraph which a teacher told us during the class. These lines are that of a parent. These lines tell about the parent's promise to their children -
As long as I live, I am your parent, first, your friend, second. I will stalk you, flip out on you, lecture you, drive you insane, be your worst nightmare and hunt you down like a blood hound when needed because I love you. When you understand that, I will know you are a responsible adult. You will never find someone who loves, prays and worries about you more than I do! If you don't hate me once in your life I am not doing my job properly.

Our parents are the ones who gave us our life. No matter what happens they will still remain the most important, most loved people in our life. I am sure that all of you love your parents. So, go and thank your parents for all that they have done for you!

And it is history!

He completes his 100th ton. The most awaited moment for millions of fans all over the world. Yes, we are talking about the God of Cricket - Sachin Tendulkar.
It is said by his fans that God couldn't come down to play cricket and so He sent Sachin! Today on the 16th of March 2012 by completing his 100th ton he proved this true.
He has always worked hard. He completed his 99th ton last year in March. Since then he was twice in the 90s but could not make it to 100. Today after a year, he finally did it.
He had to wait a lot. He had to wait for his 100th hundred. He had to wait to be a part of an Indian team that won the world cup. He waited for that for twenty-two years.
He really does teach us a lot of things.
We have the right to dream only if we can wait. If we do not have the patience to wait till our hardwork bears  us the fruit, we have probably no right to dream. So, dream and work hard to convert those thoughts, dreams and aspirations into reality!

If...

Several of you may be acquainted with this poem. But for those who have missed out this literary masterpiece, here it is!

If-
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too ;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master ;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim ;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same ;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools ;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch and toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss ;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them : "Hold on !"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch.
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but non too much ;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds worth of your distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son !

                                                                                                                           Rudyard Kipling
This poem says it all. It is a difficult but one must aim to be so!

Hope!

Today, I got an information that I have been shuffled into Section B and my three other best friends have been shuffled into Section A...
There is no one in this new section that I can really call my friend. My three best friends, namely, Arundhati, Urja and Pragati meant the world to me. They have been my companions since standard five. To get seperated from them is like hell breaking loose...
But, I still believe that Life is Beautiful. Inspite of all the hours I kept crying, I hope and believe that something better is coming for me and if it is not then I will bring something good to me.
I believe that God alters your plans for the present to make way for his plans of your future. Maybe this change is for the better.
While I am writing this, I am definitely finding it hard to control my tears but I promise to myself and to God, that I won't break down because the journey of life is long and there will be many such sad incidents. The sky is overcast with dark clouds but I am sure that when these clouds go away I will see a bright sun shining upon me!
Earlier this morning, I felt like cursing everyone. But, I realised that maybe I am going against my own principles. I now decide that I will not lose heart. Its time to meet new people and make new friends and not forget the old ones at all..
The tears are struggling harder to pour out from my eyes but I promise you that I won't let them out and will be strong ! My friends won't be far away from me. Its hard to part from them but I will adjust because I can and I will. No one in this universe can stop me from being happy and making new friends. No one! :-)
Before I end I just would like to tell that all of you must have gone through such sad times. At some point in your life you all must have felt as if this is the worst thing that can happen to anyone. But, I say that you be strong. Fight against fate! I promise I will!
